Comics are a huge endeavor to create, especially with several contributors involved. Wonder if creating a set of DW trading cards would be a much simpler feat?

I'm sure it would be (if artists don't forget to deliver on time). You just need a short and sweet text on the back and maybe one of those power level thingies people love. It would be fun to make, for sure.

We can or we can all just do creator-owned. It'd be a DW Community set to showcase everyone's characters. We'd just have to work together to build a template for the back so we have some consistancy to the set.

I'd be happy to use my graphic design/typesetting super-powers to put together a template for generalized use. And it would be kinda cool if the cards, when all put together, formed a cohesive image of some sort, kind of like the covers Marvel and DC have been doing lately.

Looks like we have a few interested. If we can drum up more, Jeff you got the backs to help make it consistent. I think trying to form something with multiple creators and characters could be a little more challenging than what we want at the moment.

What if there was a setting/world that it could be set up?
So that any characters might have a consistant quality to them.
Just thinking out loud.

My characters aren't the superhero kind, that's for sure. I do have colorful antagonists that could belong in that kind of world, or maybe I could render or paint the main characters in a way that makes the cartoony style more grounded in order to get them closer to what I imagine the majority will bring to the project. I'm always happy to hatch away! :)

Well, if we go this route instead of creator-owned, how about we adapt what I was doing with Digital Webbing Presents covers? Everyone would just create something with a sci-fi'ish theme. I can post up the covers so peeps can see what we used. Lemme know if that's the route everyone wants to go or not.

Yeah Digital Webbing covers seems like a good place to start.

I remember the first DW cover with the Cyber Spider Lady. That's a good cover. Maybe something like that theme, I supposed?

You mean Digital Widow?
I always liked her.
