Action! Babes! Adventure! Babes! Danger! Did we mention babes!?! You’ll get all this and more in Harry Johnson, coming in September from Writer/Creator Charles Fulp and Artist Craig Rousseau.

Harry Johnson follows the adventures of one of the grooviest private dicks this side of Sam Spade. Hired by sexy socialite Selene Crabbe to find her father who has disappeared while working on a top secret government project, Harry Johnson is on the case with his sidekick, exotic dancer Fanny Sellers. Together they travel from the heart of the city to the wilds of Africa and beyond.

It’s very obvious that Writer/Creator Charles Fulp has an affinity for this type of story. Instead of just sending out a copy of the first issue for review, he’s taken a chunk of both the first AND second issues and put them together to make it feel more like am authentic cliff hanger. That way even the reviewers have a surprise when the first issue hits the stands in September. Charles also manages to do something that in my opinion is a very rare thing in comic books today; he does humor and more importantly, he does it well. You would think funny in a funny book would come easy but as they say “dying is easy, comedy is hard”. Whether it’s sight gags, sexual innuendoes, or prat falls, Charles writes them all as easily as a two fisted fracas.

Joining him for the adventure is artist Craig Rousseau. Craig is known for several DC Comics books such as Batman Adventures and Impulse. His animated style lends itself well to Charles vision. His heroes are handsome, his women are sexy, and his sidekicks are sleazy. Pacing and facial expressions are also a cut above the rest, something that is truly important in a book like Harry Johnson.

Veterans Norman Lee, inker on such titles as Star Wars, Tellos and Spy Boy and LIQUID! adding color and ComiCraft on letters to the book round out the supporting cast.

Can’t wait for September to see what Harry Johnson is all about? Check out Charles’ own site at http://www.fulpfiction.com/ for an inside look, exclusive character sketches and more. Look for it in Previews in July.
