Comic Book Collecting Software?

I've been curious about the various software programs out that catalog and maintain comic book collections. I've used a simple TXT file for years now, and for the most part I'm satisfied with it. It's simple, and all I have listed are title and issue numbers. However, with the collection growing, I was wondering if there were simple easy to use programs out there that you guys would recommend? I'd like to incorporate more information into my cataloging. What are you guys using right now? Thanks!

well i do the same as you, a simple .txt file and i seperate them by company, issue number, and vol. number. a database wouldn't be such a bad idea though... i think one would be able to create one in filemaker pro. i had started to do that last year but it was to much work heh...

I use a spreadsheet. It's easy to sort all kinds of different ways. Now if I could just make a nice looking interface to load it into. Visual Basic I guess? Bah.
Anyway, try a spreadhseet if you want to try something else without buying one of those packages that inevitable have more bells and whistles than you need.

Or of course there is comicbase (if you get it, get express for 39.99) which is what 99.9 percent of comic shops use. It is also a price/value guide, and also has cover shots. It also is updateable, no manual entering is needed.

That ComicBase software looks great! While I'm not one to care much about comic values, how often are those values updated on the software?
