Where can I submit short stories and get PAID?

Hi. I am a writer/artist interested in submitting short scifi/horror/adventure stories and getting compensated for my work. What are my best avenues? What publications pay for short stories?
Thank you for any leads you can give me.

Scribe is on a distinguished road
you need to decide if you want to get credentials or get paid. It seems to me in the comic book world if someone is willing to publish your work without you putting a financial stake in, that's a pretty good deal.

Just get good work published and the money will come.

Have you been published before? In any medium? If not, it's not likely you'll get paid for any kind of writing. You may have a shot at getting a decent page rate if you a good artist.

Read over our stuff and submit something.

When the issue comes out, you'll get paid. It probably won't be very much though.
