Question About Coloring

How would you color finished comic/cartoon art that is not digital? What is generally done -- the process, etc.,?

Can anyone offer me any basic direction regarding this?

Thanks!

could be anything if not digital ... marker, acrylics, oil paints, watercolours, pastels ... anyting that leaves a mark on the page is valid.

think the most common would be markers though. pro markers can run you something like $5-20 per marker though, that's a highlight of using digital.

but yeah, wouldn't take my word for it. better to wait for somebody else to chime in that has been doing it before the digital revolution, but there's a start to your question i guess.

doc martin dyes
watercolors
markers

All are ultimately more expensive than getting a scanner and a copy of Photoshop on eBay or finding a colorist.

Yeah, the nice thing about digital colors is that the paints never run out or dry up. Plus, physical paints don't have an undo button.
