Hey

This is a quick thing I did over the image that was released with the DC solicitations for August. Just a little sumthin'-sumthin' to let you people know I'm still alive and inking (Getting a few things published soon-ish. I'll let you know, so you can order multiple copies

Done in about 30 minutes, then I spent an additional 30 minutes tinkering with it.

Good to see your still throwing the black around Boy...

This here kinda took me off guard when I first saw it, It`s soo Stark and strong, which are both good things, The only section that kinda dosen`t sit right with me is the whole section of his neck and the side of his head, I can see what you`ve done, but I think it may need some liberties to clarify what`s going on there, and maybe a touch of hatching on his cheek to soften that up some....Just my opinion though....

All in, I likes your work.

Looks really digital.
My only complaint is that you should have fixed the arm. It's a bit too wide.

Nicely done! I feel his hand is a little washy though around the thumb and forefinger.

TOO digital. Raz,,,pick up a brush and quill sometime man. I totally appreciate all the crits you have given me, but this thing completely lacks "life" which is common with digi inks.

Hey Boy,

I like it. Has a sort of David Mazzuchelli (I KNOW I just butchered the man's name, sorry.) / Frank Miller feel 2 it.

If I could comment on something, perhaps a bit of delicate feathering to add to the rendering a bit?

Taking a cue from mecha, a bit more details on the gloves/fingers would add more to it. U've got the basic sense of it, though.

Rotin: I totally agree with that neck thing. I thought about doing some hatching/feathering there, but I really wanted to keep it stark/bold/plain ol' black and white only.

J'amal: Right after the hooks, right? I gotta fix that. And is the "looks really digital" a bad thing...?

Mecha: Totally agree. Not sure how to fix it without losing the Sin City like look (I think) Kubert were going for, though.

If I had the cash for it, belive me, I'd try the brush. But as is, I'm too poor.

Lebeau: I think you spelt it right, actually. Yeah, I was going for sort of a Sin City look with it. Same reason I didn't do any feathering or anything on it. Straight up black and white. I might just fix that hand/arm...

I really appreciate all these critques & comments, anyone else?

i like the pencils a lot...a lot of power here which get lost in the ink / imo/..i think the inks needs some more shadows/hatches, i know you wanted it in this way / just my thought.
