What Mecha said but i can look even from this distance and tell that Venom isn't "popping" to the front. Some heavier blacks behind venom might help this out some.

Heavier blacks no, because that's the actual shading there (I have these pencils at home).
Heavier linweights on Venom and the debris closest to us, yes. That would bring him closer to us without killing the background. |
