Yes. I feel you. Is a tricky design. I think by the end of this exercise I will be able to understand Hellboy's construction at full. Body and face.
The good thing is that each artist who has drawn it made his own version of Hellboy. Even the own Mignola, he changes the design continously.
I went to find Mignola's sketches looking for accuracy. But these models are all different. From one to the other.
Finally I found some action figures online that are based on Mignolas originals that are more consistent and well defined. Right now, I'm using these as my reference.
Also, I want to remark, the most I'm knowing about Hellboy, the most fascinating I find this character.

Anyone out there up for lettering my pages? I've got a total of 12 pages and a cursory script. If no one can do it, I'll tackle it this weekend and do my best to not make it a mess...

For the same token. I may need some help on editing-correcting my script's grammatical mistakes. Only 6 pages long. Anyone up to this task? I will appreciate anything you can do.

Are you going to erase that info later on or cut off that info from the final PDF presentation?
I can give an extra size on the top of each page for that purpose as we see it on pre lined comics art boards.
Please, let me know.

umm..i don't know. never considered that. none of these made it as far as PDF format.

like I was saying, I just wanted to have it so each section was identifiable to a specific artist/team. several times with the xmen project, readers were asking WHO did specific pages and it became difficult to keep track.

I think a good solution is that as long as everyone puts like a story title box with credits on their page 1, that should be good enough I think.

or I'm open to suggestions...

also...historically, I have everyone email me their pages so I could keep them all in one place and upload them to where ever or just plain manage the thing. can we still do the same thing here?
I can put them all in a drop box file or something where we can have people access it to do the PDF thing.. or whatever.
we just need to have them all go to a kind of central location and be coordinated..to which I will handle

A suggestion:

If proper details are sent with every story we won't need signatures on every page. Use a format like this, for example:

Quote:
HELLBOY MEETS A CHARACTER

Script: <INSERT THE NAME THE WRITER WISHES TO BE CREDITED UNDER> (<INSERT THE CORRESPONDING DW USERNAME IN PARENTHESIS>)
Art: <INSERT THE NAME THE ARTIST WISHES TO BE CREDITED UNDER> (<INSERT THE CORRESPONDING DW USERNAME IN PARENTHESIS>)
And so on for Inks, Colors, Letters.

If there is more than one artist involved, it should be done the same -

Quote:
Art:
Pages 1-3 by <INSERT THE NAME THE ARTIST WISHES TO BE CREDITED UNDER> (<INSERT THE CORRESPONDING DW USERNAME IN PARENTHESIS>)
Pages 3-4 by <INSERT THE NAME THE ARTIST WISHES TO BE CREDITED UNDER> (<INSERT THE CORRESPONDING DW USERNAME IN PARENTHESIS>)
Since we are doing a detailed credits page, this information needs to be present along with each story, because we don't want to miss giving credit to someone who worked on the project.

P.S: The DW Username is only for information purposes, and doesn't need to be a part of the pdf's credits page.

Done this way, the Contents/Credits page will have all the details on who did what.

that all makes perfect sense. as long as everyone at the very least puts their names on page 1 of their story, that works. and a credits page with all the info on it at the opening of the book, like the inside cover will do it as well.
so yeah...not exactly everyone signing every page... just identifiable somehow.
