New Web Comic- Ace Maxwell the Guardian

Just wanted to stop by and promote a new web comic I am working on called Ace Maxwell the Guardian. All of the writing and art chores are done by me alone. It was just a way for me to keep drawing and push myself to get better at illustration and storytelling. This just started out as a sketch in my sketchbook and took on a life of its own. Illustration is not my day job but more of a hobby so it has been a learning process the whole way through. Hope you will be entertained one page at a time.

Thanks

Love your art style! First 6 pages are fantastic, and I'm anxious to see how the story plays out. Looks to be gearing up for some major action ahead.

Thanks for checking it out. I just checked out Adamant and Villain Takes All. Those are really well done. You have a new fan.

Looks good! Reminds me a bit of Simonson, not sure if he was an influence for you or not.

I love the old school comic book feel of your work. It feels like a nice mesh between new and old

Bulletboy-Redux
Thanks for the love. I have not really tried to find work in comics. Part of it is the confidence to do so.

creativejoe83
Thanks. I really tried hard to get that feel. Lot of the halftones get lost because it is small. Hope when I get it printed one day the detail will show up.

Thanks for the kind words! Definitely a fan of your work as well. Maybe we'll get the chance for a crossover or to work with one another at some point.

Ace continues to look great. Looking forward to more.

Ha, Ha, Ha... yes, yes, that's what I'm talkin' 'bout! It's got that Erik Larsen, Walt Simonson type flow. Of course your own. Love it!

Yup, it should be out there in print... hmm. Same here, I draw people stuff but not comics, my reason is that I don't think I'm good for comics. Comics is more of serious beast. You're doing awesome tho'. I'm still working on my skills to do comics.

Yes, Adamant was good looking at also. You guys got awesome stuff. Yes, inspirational, original. Awesome stuff!

mikeexner3 and thejaz180, my apologies for the late reply. The day job had to take precedent over the hobby. It had me away from self promotion. Thanks for the kind words.

mikeexner3
a crossover would be fun. time will tell if we can do it.

thejaz180
thanks for the comparison. they are 2 of my favorites in the business. They are a definite influence on my work. confidence can be a blessing and a curse to an artist.

I did post a new page as well
Thanks to all who have read it so far.
