Standard Comic page & font sizes

Working on my 1st self produced comic book. DOES ANYONE KNOW what page size I should use for a standard US comic book? AND WHEN putting the balloons & text to the art (I'm working in Manga Studio) should I create the art, balloons with text all double size OR should I create the art double size then reduce it in manga & then balloon & text it at the reduced size for printer. ALSO what font size is good for both before & after reduction. Thanks! The comic is Staunch Ambition. http://www.staunchambition.com/

I've drawn and lettered on an 11x17 page size (in Manga Studio). Then reduced when exporting.

Your actual measurements might vary based on your printer. If you don't have a specific printer in mind then I'd either set up your own http://www.blambot.com/ruleyourown.shtml or you can pick up a set of ready-made templates for $1.50 here: http://shop.dnhills.com/collections/all (If you consider the value of your time, it's a real deal.)

For font size, it will probably depend on your font, but you just need to figure out what you want the printed size to be and then multiply by 1.5. Actual letterers can explain if there is a standard size. I'd love to know too.

Staunch Ambition looks promising.

page is a bit graphic heavy (loads slow,) but i love the artwork.

it really varies but the standard font size is somewhere around 6.5 -7.5

and comic book page size is 11x 17 - for manga books 6 x 9

This may help with art size...as for font size, just do a relative size comparison while looking at a pro-published comic. Most of my font sizes are in the 6-7pt range, but it may depend on the font itself. Plus I letter at print size...so factor that in.
