Wait for critique from someone who isn't coming at the whole thing from anger. Yes there are things that could be fixed, but there are plenty of people who understand "art" unlike SJames who can offer advice without the bile.


SJames, for all you know this guy is the biggest most devout Christian you've ever met, and he genuinely wants to make a statement that Jesus is the original Super-Hero and kids/adults should be more interested in his adventures than Capt. America or Batman.

This could be an image that is meant to confront and affect people in what you would consider a "positive" way instead of one meant to poke fun.

I don't think that's the case - but you have no clue, right?


Either way, art is an "offensive" medium and always has been. Get over it or fall on the wrong side of history with all the others throughout the ages who did things such as making it a crime to depict Christ at all.



If that's not enough to make you think, what if this was a drawing of Mohammed with a super-hero costume on? Would you be on the side of the artist, or the guy replying "JIHAD!!!1"?

Hmm, being a devout opponent of all religions I am not offended in any way, but what is clearly lacking is the picture's message. So Jesus is a super hero because he is wearing a mask? Maybe you can relate your intentions a bit further, because your artwork doesn't do so.
If it is done only for offending christians you were obviously successful.

I'm no Christian,so I can't really say is it offending or not...but here is what I can say regarding this drawing...You really need to work more on your anatomy,you dont need to buy a anatomy book,you could just observe your own body in mirror and do sketches and stuff i think it'll help a lot..and your lines are shaky,so you need to practice that as well...

I'm a Christian and I don't find it offensive. It is poorly executed with little attention to style or anatomical correctness, but that is the case with every piece posted by this artist. I'd actually be interested in seeing this subject matter attempted in a more realistic and anatomically correct style, because I think it could provoke some interesting conversation.

Hilarious! All this "controversy" as if brandnewday was trying to make some kind of statement about Christianity, and this is simply an interpretation of an image from The Boys by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. That is too funny. (See the cover to The Boys #44.)

Regarding the anatomy, obviously we could all use a little extra attention to anatomy and I think that is the case here as well, but nothing jumped out at me as being particularly off about this drawing (the arms are a bit rough), and I'm not sure that the artist is really going for that level of accuracy, although he would have to speak to that himself. I think the head came out well, actually.
