Ow ok, I thought it was a good idea to start my thread here since its the comic creation board. I wanted to document my journey and eventually start asking questions about page dimensions/publishing/printing etc.
But its your call.

Love your style man. What's your digital painting technique? Are you using Photoshop, Painter or something else? Also what kind of brush are you using?
Hope you use a CG paint style for the book. |

Cheers Hanzou, I'm using photoshop for my digital paintings and yes I plan to "paint" the crap out of my graphic novel lol. It's not practical but it's something I really want to do and its good practice.
I've been using one of the default "splatter" brush that comes with CS5, it gives small interesting 'accidents' but I'm still nooby with photoshop. Still got a lot to learn

It looks really cool, I picked up on the MGS influence. I'm a big fan of MGS.
Stop procrastinating and make pages.

here's to me revitalising my stay here at digitalwebbing and kickstarting my butt into gear! Let's get this comic shiznit going!
I have been able to pour some hours into revisiting my old sketches over coffee break and daydreaming about the storyline/script. So here's a bunch of crap that you might've missed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

You have some really good sketches going on here. Though I did have a hard time figuring out if the main character was male or female at first.

Mucho Gracias Domja
![]() Don't worry too much about "her" gender. I get that alot. But if you had to question it, then I must be going somewhere with it lol. But no, she is most definitely female. The female lead character is just radically alternative than your average comic book heroine. Which is what I think makes her more interesting/challenging. It'll be interesting to see what response I'd get if I ever shake out the first issue this year. :s |
