Thanks everyone. I really have the tv on too much while working...
Katie, when you call the thread "Spacetastic Art Party", it has to keep going on! That in itself would be a great anthology name.

Looking forward to more of the space comic!

SPACETASTIC ART PARTY LIVES OOOOOON~!

Wow, since last I said hi I worked like crazy and finished an entire (not space related :'c) comic issue!

I hope I can tempt some new people around to share their space awesomeness too!

I'm skipping a little ahead in my space comic.. there's a magician involved now.

I'm going to see how my space dinosaur comic is received at the local convention weekend after next, then I'm considering either working on the second issue or making the continuing story a webcomic. Then you shall see more space awesomeness!

Are those space robot sharks?

Katiesaurus, I'm loving your stuff! Your style is just so sleek and refined (and of course, robot space sharks make everything better).

I'm afraid my space stuff isn't anywhere near as impressive. I would like to get critique on some of the stuff though, if anyone would be willing to oblige

A space fairy. Drew it at the height of the eel gijinka craze (Gah, I can't get it to re-size!)

I feel bad about posting this again, but it does fit the theme, and I still do want some critique on it.

And in an effort to spur some discussion: Is there a particular branch or aspect of sc-fi you like in particular? Like, I'm a big space lover, and I really like stories involving different societies/cultures.

Been a while since I logged in here, but since it's in stores today, I wanted to share the pin-up comic I eventually wound up sending off to Mariah to be used in Womanthology: Space #4. The theme of issue #4 is "Star", so here's what I did along those lines. I work in vector, and this was entirely created inside Adobe Illustrator, where I've made a bunch of custom Kirby Crackle brushes and symbol sets. Enjoy.

Now why haven't I thought of making Kirby Krackle a brush? I bet it would make a great tone in Manga Studio!

I know, right? Kirby Krackle is so useful. I have an entire library of them. You can find some brushes on Deviant. Here's a set that I use in Photoshop on the rare occasions that I use it: http://pascal-verhoef.deviantart.com...shes-165359770
