The Gathering anthology needs artists

I'm the publisher of The Gathering, a self published ongoing anthology which began back in January of 2010. Since January we've moved from a quarterly to (as of Jan 2012) monthly schedule and are in the process of sending out the 7th issue to print.

The Gathering grew from vanity project to something bigger soon after the release of our first issue thanks to critical acclaim from sites like Aint it Cool and Wired and professionals like Gail Simone taking an interest in our project. Though our focus is on giving new writers and artists a chance to get published we do feature a pro story on occassion. Creators like Gail, Mike Lapinski and Sterling Gates have all done shorts for us with creators like John Jackson Miller, Sean McKeever and Josh Fialkov contributing in 2012.

The strong support from fans, critics and pros have allowed us to plan for a very aggressive 2012 which will see the book released on a monthly schedule which will allow even more new creators to have the chance to see their ideas reach the printed page.

Right now we're currently planning our April volume which is the 'All Women' issue so female artists please submit ASAP as we're looking to get people paired up on that issue very soon. But we are looking for all artists of any style for many of the still open volumes.
