ugly papers: Trespassers Will be Shot! (layout)

I'm writing my scripts through rough layouts. For me this is the way to go, so I'm not tempted to write something that isn't going to work out visually.
Here is a link to the previous issue. My art skills are not up to par yet, so I'd like to get some writing done while I work on my art skills.

Oh. I like that idea. I'm going to have to try it out. But my art skills are slightly less than yours.

LOVE the idea... actually thought about this too, but my 'art skills' involve stick figures and that's about it.

What would the response be if I handed over a truly rough layout to an artist?

(Once again I am TOTALLY new to all of this)

Actually this is much more useful then a script. Even if you can't draw. You'll definitely want to study composition and graphic design theory though. So yeah play around with it. If you really want to get on an artists good side show him some photo reference. Here is a little list of things that piss me off about scripts.

-long winded back and fourth dialogue.
-excessive panels
-creations that are complicated to visually define
-scale is unaccounted for
-actions that don't fit in one panel
-aesthetics that don't carry over from one imagination to the other

Those are just the issues off the top of my head. Here are a couple more pages for ya.
