To be honest, feel like people get all uppity if you call them racist. I find the best remedy is to say, "I know that you aren't racist, but that was some racist shit you just said/did."

I have found that I am less likely to find a burning cross on my front yard because of it.

I never gave it much thought, but looking back on some of the things I've said or done, they might be considered racist even though I never think myself as one.

It's understandable if one become pissed when someone call him/her out as a racist. Commonly all people aspire to be good, even though their emotions tend to get the better of them.

That's worse. At least the racist ostensibly likes at least one group of people.

The "I hate everyone equally" thing takes the wrong message from the problem with racism. Discrimination is an element and a manifestation that can harm, but the problem is the hate.

At least with overt racism.

This comes awfully close to crying "REVERSE RACISM!!!"
Just so we don't get there: Reverse racism doesn't exist.
First off, there isn't a long, painful history of black on white violence like there is for the reverse. The two aren't equatable. Secondly, there is still plenty of actual racism on television, and having a handful of commercials showing white people doing dumb shit isn't an example of it just because there's a black person playing the straight man.
