Why are artist to attached with their work?
What it says.
I gave a critic and I got this letter back: Quote:
Mind you this artist has pretty good work the anatomy isn't great but good. The only sample in the portafolio that is really bad is the one I pointed out. Basically I gave the suggestion of editing it or perhaps removing the piece so it doesn't show the artist weakness. Can you guys tell me if you know what is going on? ( my quick fix to point out stuff was to the right.) ![]() Anyways I get that letter above and then the artist trying to point out deffects on my work. I even used a non pro sample on a fallow up letter. This guy is no Jim lee but I can tell his drawing has a hand and an arm.

A lot of people have to feel they're better than someone else in order to "make it" day to day.
Your experience with this guy was that - the guy's daily "I know people, I know things, you're beneath me." pick-me-up. Let him be happy, I guess? |

I'm not sure why you're pursuing this?
He was polite in his response and was fairly clear that he was not looking for a critique from random people. Yet you continued to engage him. I don't see him being "too attached" to his artwork more than he "doesn't want your opinion".

I think you're missing a word or two. You've almost got it though, keep trying!

The artist politely said I was wrong when I told her I couldn't tell if there was a hand. Also that the reference I send was in no way close to the position of her hand.
I wish I knew where the position of her hand is.

I see the point you're trying to make, but if they don't want to hear it the first time, why continue trying to push the issue? |
