Hi there. I'm not sure if there's a more appropriate place on this forum to do an "introduction" thread; if so, moderators, please feel free to move it there.

I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself. My name is Matthew, and although I've been an on-and-off fan of comics my whole life, I'm brand new to the idea of making them. I recently ran a successful Kickstarter campaign (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...in-a-comic-boo) and am now working with the artist I hired with those funds. In my research I've really come to love this world, and I hope to be able to keep creating comics, even if only as a hobby, long after this one project is over

I am a writer only, though, which (it appears) makes me something of a small fish in a very big pond, so I think I'll take my time and learn the lay of the land (not to mention finish the project I've already started) before jumping in to too much else.

In addition to creating comics, I have always had an interest in making movie. I've never produced a "real" independent movie, but for the last few years I've been using an animation (machinima, specifically) software called Moviestorm to make my own (very short) movies.
