Freedom!
I haven't done a cover/poster type images in years! It's all been sequential work.
I may use this as a cover for the 2nd book of my - 'A Gathering of Nations' comic, (if ever see's the light of day?) ![]() Crits welcome. -also that's meant to be the moon in the background, will make more sense when it's coloured!

Nice drawing. The axe has a bit more of a medieval feel to me than Native American. I'm no expert, but that was my feeling when I saw it.

I had to comment.
I like the idea, look forward to the sequentials, but the axe is really phallic in its' placement. ![]() His left leg looks more cyllinder than leg shaped & his left fist is slightly warped even having the fingers not fully enclosed. |

Saul is correct, the axe would have been stone. Tomahawks, line arrowheads were made of stone. Also, tomahawks had much shorter handles. That looks more like a full on axe(not a weapon of war for Native Americans). The hands, as stated earlier, are choking up in a direction contrary to the axe handle. The nice thing about the missteps are that they all center around the axe and are easily fixed at this stage. Also, the perspective came out well and adds a nice dynamic to the picture. The artwork itself is fairly solid, so good job!

Thanks all for the comments. With the story not fully explained, you are correct about the axe, it's more European than tomahawk like. This was deliberate, as these guys are from the distant future, they travel back to the 1600's to help unite the Native tribes, and stop the European colonisation of North America. The 1st issue is going to be sent to publishers pretty soon.
I'll have a look at the about the hand/axe problem, thanks for pointing it out, and thanks for all the comments
