What I think they should do to make it a hit is... treat it like a serious movie where G. I. Joe is a task force formed as part of homeland defense. No exo-suits.

Yeah the exo-suit thing was pointless. It was made even worse when Snake-eyes caught the van on foot.

And that was your problem with G.I.Joe?? What about the entire rest of the movie being shit? It was a joke the likes of which not even the Smurfs movie could top. The entire idea of G.I.Joe being turned into a multi-national task force was only the tip of the iceberg that sank the movie. I can't even believe they're considering a sequel. Hollywood has hit rock bottom for real to stretch for this one.

I'd love to see a proper GI Joe movie. The first one had a couple of decent moments, and Snake-Eyes was about as close as you could get, but the rest of it was pretty terrible. The fact they're getting the Bieber director for the new one is kinda scary, but I agree that the Rock would bring ticket sales.

And yes, the exo-suits were fucking stupid.

GI Joe is a lot like the X-Men: there's a lot of characters, but people really only want to see one. In GI Joe, they're there for Snake-Eyes, and in X-Men, you're there for Wolverine.

Ideally, they should do an origin movie showing Snake-Eyes and co. during the war, leading up to Snake getting the blast in the face and losing his speech, then training to become a ninja.

GI Joe: The movie where ice sinks. I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, but for some reason the scene with the giant chunks of ice sinking into the ocean pushed me over the edge.

gotta agree with this quote. Resolute was nice. Destro and the Baroness needed work, though, they were stupid as hell. Everything else was cool, like Snake Eyes taking a sword through the hand, breaks it off and kept fighting storm shadow without flinchin? Beast mode.
