Scarlet Lady - want your feedback

Hi Guys,

Would love your feedback on the artwork of one of our series. Its a superhero series called Scarlet Lady.

Premise

Los Angeles. The capital of Porn? Not in these times! Still it’s a job for Scarlett Walker who leads a double life as porn star by day and silicon enhanced superheroine by night after a boob job by the ‘Doctor’ gave her a lot more than she had bargained for.

I dint want to even look at the artwork. It sounds like a weak premise from the get go. I think also by the fact that you joined 11 months ago and only have 2 posts here people don't want to click those links. A suggestion post on here and get to know people and then submit an idea. I would also suggest using imageshack or deviant art or something trustworthy.

Scarlet Lady is a good name BTW it sounds Golden Age. The premise sounds 25cent bin though.

the layout and storytelling seem to work, the style is a bit stiff and simple but has some charme... see that lady kneeling above the star in the last panel?
make all charakters looks that good, and its great!

I'm sorry I probably wouldn't like it anyway. Porn stars are some of the saddest people in the world. I can't see one becoming a super hero. They are mostly drug addicted STD carrying souless people who end up committing suicide. Why in the world would you want to make one a hero?

Haha. That's some of the lousiest criticisms I've seen all year in this place. This isn't bible school, but a board to show off artwork and get feedback on it. Of course a pornstar could be a superhero.

That said, the concept seems to be tongue in cheek, but it feels like you're just trying to cash in from the horny folks. Is it meant to be tongue in cheek? If you wanted to draw a woman with big breasts/skanky-clad females you could just copy Marvel or DC. Most of their heroines seem to be borrowed from porn mags/films.

Like the critic above, your lines and characters are stiff. I'd work more on the basics of anatomy and get more fluent figures before your go back to sequentials. (Depending on what your goal is with all this.)

Maybe the reason Scarlet Lady is a hero is to change that perception!

Its just a comic book, its a make believe world. You can have a piece of turd become a superhero if you wish. I think a porn star isnt such a bad idea, there just so many playboy millionaires and mild manered reporters we can have as superheroes

No. But I have heard the stories of former porn stars who talk about the drugs, STDs, and suicides of their friends. Most porn stars only last a year or two and they're washed up. Physically their bodies are abused and the longer they stay in the industry the more degrading the sex acts they have to do. Most of them suffer from emotional problems and self esteem issues and can't shake the memories of what they did. This is a very destructive life especially for women.
Check out pink cross and other organizations that tell the stories of porn stars.

And you should check out places like the scarlet alliance who say the worst thing you can say about anyone in the sex industry is to generalise them as drug users who are manipulated into what they do instead of it being their chosen profession.
