Due to a long overdue tax evasion by our major Hollywood movie importer and MPAA boycott (it's a long story), I will not be seeing this movie in any theater in my country.

Fuck you Hollywood for making a movie that I will never get to see legally.

Amazing

I absolutely loved it!

I'm not gonna post any spoilers here, so don't worry

There are some cool references to other marvel characters in here

The action is brilliant, hemsworth is great, hiddleston owns it as Loki

And it's funny! But not too funny mind

And the after credits scene sets things up veery nicely

As for Asgard, wow. It's incredible seeing this place visualised, I loved seeing the bi-frost in action

I can't think of any negatives right now because I'm too hyped

If you had any fears of how this would turn out, cast them out, Thor is fantastic!

About what I expected, yeah. Green Lantern's still gonna kick its ass, though.

Does anyone else find it odd that there doesn't seem to be much TV-based promotion going on in the US? Or maybe I just haven't seen it because I hardly watch television these days.

Anyway, I'm expecting Thor to be awesome once we get it here next Friday.

Three hours before me and Jamie were due to go I got my first migraine in ten years. Blind spots, nausea - the works - so needless to say I wasn't fit to drive over and watch some 3D shit.

Gutted, but I'll catch it soon, no doubt.

Question; was this filmed in 3D or is it post-processed like The Last Airbender?

Gav

Pretty sure it was processed, which means the quality is going to be sub-par to crap. I really have no interest in seeing this film in 3D anyway.

You're not watching the right channels. I've seen plenty of ads for it on TV, starting a couple of weeks ago.

Prolly 'cos I don't have cable. I don't see the sense in paying 200 channels worth of crap that I'll never watch...

Yeah, that's probably it.

I'm not going to argue about not getting cable. But don't complain about the lack of a television campaign when you've only got maybe 2% of all the available channels

Meh. I'm not complaining. It's just an absence of marketing that I haven't noticed with other recent films. I actually just saw the first TV spot a few hours ago, so I can no longer remark upon it, I guess.

It all depends upon the key demographic they are trying to entice. I give you credit in that you're probably watching shows they consider "above" their intended demographic.

I saw thor. It wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't great(Ironman was better). The story was very simple and basic(no depth to story or complexity at all) and to me clearly was just a set up for the Avengers movie. The after credits extra was the worst of the three (Iron man/ Second Hulk).
