Wouldn't you hate to be the person who finds the stink in the film and tells everybody there has to be a reshoot?

Eh, Happens all the time. Look at that atrocious wig Jackman was wearing in the beginning of X-men 2. That was a reshot as was some of the Danger room scenes where he had to wear a wig as well. I believe he was already onstage doing the Boy from Oz so he had cut his hair. Happens all the time. That's why you need a very diligent continuity person.

Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the film, Roy's right. Reshoots are common even for some really good movies.

Reshoots aren't bad. Reshoots mean they noticed they did something wrong and want to correct it.

Or simply wish to add further clarification to certain scenes.

The reshoots might be for the transition from the Cap movie to the Avengers movie.

If that means more work and more pay for everyone, I'd be happy to tell them that.

well, I'm glad you guys are saying this. I know re-shoots are common but at this stage in the movie? That gives me bad vibes

The movie's not due out for another 4 months, and there's not a ton post production (if you notice, they use more props and makeup than cgi type effects), so I don't think it's too bad. In fact, reshoots usually occur when they're editing a movie, which is essentially the last step anyway.

or maybe it's what happens after they run it through the first wave of test audiences...

Nobody likes it when these things happen, but traditionally, it's not a good thing. Let's hope they fix what's wrong and fix it well.

Test audience or focus group. You know Marketing calls all the shots on these types of merchandise rich movies

These days reshoots like this have become the norm (though they've been doing them during the editing stage since the Golden Years of Hollywood in truth). Therefore there's nothing to worry about without any concrete reason to do so.

I'm talking about being the one to go tell the people who invested in the film and that they need to come off some more money. I'm sure all people getting paid to make it would love reshoots unless they are already involved in their "next" project.
