Dooooom!!!

Does anyone know if there are at present any plans to release a 64-bit version of the original DOOM game from the 90s? The thing was so delightfully simple in its own zombie/pig demon chainsaw massacre way, and I've been having some nostalgia for the old first-person shooter games.

Anyway, the damn thing won't play on my version of Windows 7, 'cuz it's 64-bit and DOOM is 32-bit. I guess at this point there may not be enough of an audience to warrant the developers doing the conversion process, but I'm just wondering.

P.S. Yes, I AM that old, thanks for asking.

Try running it with DosBox.

edit: Try using one of the XP compatibility modes, too.

My favorite was Duke Nukem 3d though. The first successor to Doom that truly took things to the next level.
