DC In House Letterer Wanted

A friend pointed me to this. I'm not in NYC, so I thought I'd pass the info along:

Seems weird to need an in-house anything nowadays, what with high speed internet and cell phones everywhere. They could just call me up and I can do whatever.

I keep my laptop with me most of the time.

Yeah, struck me as a bit odd, too. East Coast time is particularly advantageous for me, since 5pm is only about 10pm here in the UK, but I've generally been working since about 3am New York time…

Ho hum!

They are also asking for full time Assistant Editor and Editor.
Creative Director and Creative Services Manager.

That could be a great opportunity for some folks
on these forums.

They may be looking for Doorman as well.

The majority of DC's stuff is still letterered inhouse, as well as IDW. Editors at both companies have told me, off the record of course, that, unless you are a "name" (and there are very few letterers who are), don't bother applying unless you can move to where the company is located. The exception for DC is that the odd freelancer is a former bullpenner who still has contacts at the company.

Aren't you lettering First Wave? I would classify you under a "name" Clem.

Stupid internets, you've fooled me again for the last time! No sense of sarcasm and jest; everyone just sounds like Stephen Hawking to me on here.

LOL. I don't read many superhero books, but it seems Clem is the "go-to" letterer for Vertigo. He is all over those books!

It IS 2010--and almost 2011. If my rocket pack ever gets here, I could fly from LA to NY every day.
