Kitty Pryde and Lockhead
The Ten Ton sketch challenge was Kitty Pryde this week. I didn't enter because mine is digital, but I still use the prompt to push me to do things I don't normally draw. In this case, girls. I don't draw girls well. Never have. This is probably my most successful female without using tons of ref. C&C always welcome.

Your background is solid and there are a few issues with your female anatomy but the biggest issue is really the layout is rather bland. If the camera angle was a bit more dynamic, maybe a birds eye close up, critters in the back/fore ground, and some good shading for mood. You're on a good track though. I'd like to see your next pieces.

this is really cool, my one gripe might be the thick lines on her interior just don't seem to jell with the rest of the piece where thick lines contour the outside of objects with thin lines interior wise. So seeing the background has that visual reality and she doesn't makes, to me, her feel out of place. Other than that really cool, especially placing her in the environment. If i were you and had some free time I'd throw on a bunch of blacks.
