New column - Comics Pro Prep

Hi, folks.

This is a self-promoting interlude.

I just began a weekly column over at projectfanboy.com.

The column is called Comics Pro Prep, and it's about the same stuff I've written about (and will continue to write about) here: the craft of comics, and the different publishing industries that use sequential art.

I felt the need to start putting much of what I've been posting into a more cohesive form, in this case a series of columns.

But I haven't gone away; I'm still hanging around DW.

A fascinating read. In other words, one has to learn to be a salesperson........? That is a whole skill unto itself.....

THAT is an excellent summation.

Yep.

Learning to write a pitch is an independent form that is very much like learning to write a unique type of promotional or advertising copy.

Just a heads up, to get folks into the habit (without the addiction), the second column is posted.

This time it's about writing the pitch, but the intro is about the quality of writing...and an admission of (some) failure.
