DWPFF: Ant and the Grasshopper & Others!

I've been working on few, here we go.
===================
Ant and the Grasshopper

Two aliens live on a planet known for its extreme weather cycles. Our grasshopper alien fritters away his summer away. Our ant alien spends it not only stocking his house with supplies, but preparing a feast for the winter stalkers, giant predators that only come alive when it’s frigidly cold out.

Winter comes with a vengeance; the grasshopper is left to the elements while the ant is stowed away in his cozy underground lair. That is until the stalkers attack the ant’s house without warning, the feast was not enough this year.

The ant, on the run, finds the grasshopper near death. Only by working together do they come up with desperate plan to save both of their lives and stop the stalkers once and for all.

In the post apocalyptic wasteland, a young mutant stumbles what he thinks is a feast left in an abandon house. It turns out to be a trap set by a family cannibals looking for their next meal.

As the mutant struggles in his net, the cannibal family discusses what they want to do to their new prey. The entire time the boy begs and pleads for them to do anything but throw him into the river of toxic waste that flows nearby. Anything would be better than what is sure a slow death for him.

Eventually they decide to toss him in the river only to watch him swim away, immune the harmful effects of the toxic waste.

On a future Earth, where people mostly spend their time inside and leave the care of outside world to army robot workers, one woman can’t find love. One day in Grid, the latest incarnation of the internet where simulated human interaction takes place, she chats up an interesting man.

They fall into a relationship. She naturally wants to meet up. At first he’s hesitant, but he finally agrees on the condition that they meet in total darkness for a year. At first this odd arrangement works fine, but then the girl becomes curious and turns on a light during one of their meetings. It turns out her beau is actually a robot worker.

Our main character reacts with disgust. Before he leaves he tells her if she could’ve kept her curiosity in check for a year he could’ve completed cloning the human body he was going to download himself into so they could be together as human and human. But, because of her disgust, he’s off to the robot recycling plant to wipe his memory.

It isn’t long before she realizes what a good thing she had is now gone. Our heroine sets foot outside of her home for the first time and track down her robot boyfriend.

A military super computer has won World War 3 for America, but now it’s threatening to end the world.

After the best minds on the planet cannot disable or defeat this mechanical monster, it’s up to three bumbling tech support agents to talk the computer down.

I got pretty amped when I saw a Brer Rabbit story but, jeez man, reread that one and YOU tell me what the absolutely HUMONGOUS logical fallacy is in your story, then fix it and resubmit it before Chris gets in this thread (leave the original, tho - don't cheat).

Not sure if I just glanced at this one earlier, or if I was being obtuse earlier, but I'd missed it until you mentioned it, Jason. It really is right there.

oy.

i do appreciate the effort here, turning out 4 pitches. the east/west one could work probably but in this case i've already got too much robot love. even if you figured out and fixed the brer rabbit, cannibal mutants are a bit too much for this all ages book. the ant/grasshopper isn't really doing anything with the source, and the last one could be funny but doesn't click for me.

happy to read anything else you come up with this weekend!
