Tool Box

My tool box is pretty basic, I think.

- 2H and HB 2mm Mechanical Pencils (Steadler Mars). I use the 2h for all the linework and the HB for emphasis and the heavier outline ala' Adam Hughes/Alphonse Mucha.

- I have 12" and 18" steel rulers and a 12" and 18" set of triangles.

- a putty eraser to gently erase lines (I only need a little force because I'm pressing so lightly with my pencils).

- a white eraser (for when I don't press lightly )

- a good compass set.

-circle templates with a nice range.

- eliptical guides with a nice range.

- french curves. Every once in a while, these come in very handy.

- and my favorite tool, the TuffStuff eraser stick! I can't live without this tool. For those of you that don't know what it is, it's a thin eraser in pen form that is perfect for getting in there and erasing a small detail without destroying everything around it.

And that's about all I can think of. I do a lot of lightboxing - you might want to invest in one. I also use a lap board instead of a drawing table but I'm not sure I'd recommend that. lol.

I mostly us it for erasing inks. It's a pain because it will cut the paper you are trying to erase on.

Lol. I tried it for a while but really starting hating it since it always rolled off the desk. If it's working for you, go for it!

These would be great for the on the go artist. They come in smaller and larger sizes but this size is nice. Search the site and if you find something check with your local store to see if they have something similar. Both of these are under 100 bucks.

Bah, go for the full powered plug in version. It does'nt sound like a cheap vacuum cleaner either.

Although I like My Kohinoor more as it's comfortable makes no noise and the eraser sticks last a long time.

actually its just 3 Pictures, the Luke Skywalker, the metabaron (in the samurai dress) and the batman picture. Most of the stuff hanging there is Toppi. Actually these pictures inspire me. Its work mostly Artwork from my favourite artists, such as toppi, travis, larosa, Leinil Yu and Jean Paul Leon:-)
