I've used UPCexpress.com.
It worked exactly as advertised--I got what I ordered and am not aware of any problems with the code I received. You can see my book with the UPC label on it here. I'll be using them again likely soon for my new issue. As a reminder, my understanding is that these are UPC code "resellers" -- these codes are not accepted by certain major retailers (I believe Wal-Mart and, perhaps, Target are among those, but don't quote me on that). You would have to go to the authorized vendor of UPC codes for a code if that's an issue. This costs significantly more, I believe, than going to a reseller. But the fact that Diamond has posted this information for publishers shows that using a reseller is acceptable. But if you were going to use some other outside distributor other than Diamond, it might be prudent for you to check whether using one of these resellers is okay. I just mention this so that you are fully aware of the background of these UPC code resellers. |
