Photoshop: Annoying Pop Up help

Hey, Does anybody know how to get rid of the little Label pop-ups in photoshop? I'm not sure what to call them so for example "SHIFT" label pop-up comes on when I have the pencil tool selected and I hold shift to make a straight line. It's like a little roll over label- I really want it gone and I can't figure it out. Here the screen shot:

I'm not sure which version of photoshop you're using, but with 7.0 you can go to Edit>Preferences>General (using Windows or OS 9) and there's a box called "Show Tool Tips" that needs to be UNCHECKED. That's all I got. I have a Mac G4 with OS 10.3.9, and honestly I only see little tags like that when I'm over a tool in the toolbox.

Or go to "View" or Windows and go in and tell it to not show tool tips?

Thanks, I tried what you both advised but it did'nt work but gave me an Idea to delete the "PC Tablet" That came with windows vista. Seems to be gone now. PC Tablet software might've been interfering with my Wacom Driver.

Crapcrap. It's still pops up. On and off to the rythym of my fingrrrrrrrrr.
