I've been violated!
Thursday night. Got home from work and was relaxing on the sofa drinking a glass of wine with my wife....and some punk ass, bitch muther-#@*%ers broke into my SUV. It wasn't locked...and my wife hit the alarm scarin' them off. I jumped into the car to chase them and called the cops while I was givin chase. I was first chastised by the young lady on the phone for chasing them and then was informed that a patrol car would be by. They came pretty quick..5-7 minutes, and fortunately I got home before they got there or they would have arrested my ass for having alcohol on my breath. They got away with my cd case which had nothing but a bunch of lame ass burnt shit in it...and a pair of sunglasses given to me by an old friend who knows how I feel about paying a lot of money for sunglasses..(yep, I'm a cheap ass.) A pair of Maui Jims..(ironically enough) which were ridiculously expensive. I've lived here 18 years and have never had anyone fuck with me...till now. Cops told me to consider myself lucky. Especially now, a sign of the times they said. I'm going out this weekend to purchase in home protection.

It's not so much the crime as it is the balls of the criminals. My truck is parked right next to our living room window..and we had the lights on. They just didn't care.

Good point...and they were a couple of young kids....17-19 yrs. old. Although we interrupted them.

Actually it may have been more of a dare. My wife had overheard two of the kids enticing the other....which was what made her hit the alarm. I know they were young because the kid I saw run past our front door down the sidewalk, had one hand holding the goods and the other holding up his pants.... stupid goddamn kids.

That's actually pretty scary....! If they don't care when your lights are on, what about if you weren't home, or your kids were alone.... Good for you for getting home alarm, I hope it works properly for you. These things really scare me. I'm glad we have a dog even if he's little... he has a "big dog" bark. Drunk guys came banging on the door while I was home alone with the kids a couple of years ago, freaks me out.
