Tyler Richlen's Sketchbook

Hey all, I'm just gonna start posting, in this thread, any work I have at the time. Enjoy, and crits are always welcomed.

After the Batman/Venom pic my Dad mentioned joker as a cooler option so this is what came out.

Here is the batman/Venom picture fixed(chest was too broad and too forward)

This is a Dark Reign picture I started working on and will finish someday between projects. (I hope, I hope, I hope)

Here's a terminator pic(nope, it ain't Arnold) after the warp. I did itwhile I watched my wife teach a chem class and wished he would hop off the page and kill half her students since I wasn't allowed to.

And last but not least, Cap got inked so he can get colored real quick like.

See ya'll in a bit!!

I can't believe you haven't gotten any responses to these yet. These are some of the coolest images I've seen on DW in a while. Awesome work! Your line work is great. I like how you sometimes draw a thumbnail in the corner to get the pose right, because I do it too.

Nothin' beats that Joker though. I'd buy that poster.

Thank you kindly! Yeah, I am addicted to those little thumbs in the corner, I usually just edit them out before ya'll ever see them. Thanks again!

Doubt it. I'm assuming adding my real name to the title was dumb though.

"Who the F$#% is Tyler Richlen?"

The thumbs are good. Show the thumbs. I wanna see the thumbs.
They help us understand what you were thinking when you construct a pic & let me know that I'm not that crazy in doing the same thing!

Will do Nomad. For the time being here is the mascot of the store I work at that I redesigned for our logo on our T shirts.(he used to look like a Panda when he is supposed to be a mouse. He's for a computer store.)

Very clean and smooth style...real smooth.

One crit...on your pics showing the deltoid muscle...they are way to roundish and the Hulk has a weird angle. I'm seeing the muscle from the side, yet the bicep is shown from a front angle. More of the tricep should be seen and less of the bicep.

I can see where you are coming from and it will definitely be addressed but its not a deltoid issue. Its a "Tyler drew the arm one way and then bent it too far another" and on the terminator pic its accidentally shortening the bicep too much. Hopefully this will explain where I get my deltoids roundness from.

Once again, thank you for he crit, they will be fixed!
