Yeah, I'm with you there. I signed up and all that, but I really just don't "get it".

The way I see it, it's like Facebook and its "status"; a bunch of updates and nothing more.

Am I wrong? Someone give us an "Idiot's Guide to Twitter".

so hang on, its... a website similar to what other networks have as little added bonuses with shout boxes, bulletins, status updates, etc... and it's marketed as "micro blogging"? hmmmm... oh, and it looks like your "tweets" or micro blogs are limited to 140 characters? wow, my text messaging on my phone allows me 160 to those not in network. twitter just sounds so... groovy.

Well, I would say it's more useful for mobile phone geeks (like myself), though plenty use it from computers, too. One cool thing, though, is that you can easily put your Twitter Feed on any web page, blog, MySpace, etc. So it can serve as a little update for anyone that's interested.

Plus, Rainn Wilson updates his, so that makes it cooler than anything ever.

5:45 am Just got up, runnin a little late. didn't get as much snow as expected
6:00 am Work isn't closed, they never close. goin out to clear the snow off the car
6:12 am On the road, driving conditions suck.
6:42 am Woohoo! it's taken 30 minutes to drive 9 miles! Traffic at a dead stop now.
6:53 am Just found out there's an over-turned car somewhere up ahead.
7:32 am Just finished the last 9.5 miles of the drive. Half hour late for work now.
7:33 am Sent a text to my gf to let her know I'm alive and made it in
