got one that sucks? (or doesn't?)

Yes... of course I'm talking about vacuum cleaners.

I need a new one. So far, we've got it narrowed down to wanting bagless, somewhat lightweight, and with some decent attachments.

Whatcha got?

Weird. My sister just got a new vacuum today. It's still in the box even...

My wife spent $280.00 on a Bissell that took a shit on us after a year. The warranties are for nada...because you normally have to pay shipping or take them to a shop for repair and cover labor. By that point you're better off going out and getting a new one. I've heard good things on the Dysons...Just be sure its has a beater bar and you may want to check if it's compatible or recommended for hard surface floors..like tile and hardwood...worse case you do what we did..

This is are current model.

My wife and I put a Dyson on our wedding registry list, but apparently no one in our family wanted to drop that much cash on a vacuum for us. [sigh]

So we're still using this Hoover, which my wife has had since before we started dating:

Dirt floors. You just sweep out the top layer when it gets funky.

We're talking vacuum cleaners, not sex toys.
We have an old Sears kenmore that's at least 10 years old, still sucking great!

Indeed you have the better one!

I have JAWS 2.

It just goes to show, that upgrading to the newer model just for the new hepa filter is not always the best idea. It works well as far as cleaning up stuff. It's just the locking mechanism for the cord is lame, making it always fall off.

I misspelled your name. "Scaleyinx" is hard to spell. (I don't even know how to pronounce it).

So far, we've got it narrowed down to a couple of them. We're going to go and try them this week.

We apparently got a Bissel Pet Hair Eraser with "cyclonic action" (better than colonic action, I suppose). Did a really good job on the living room, but I can't vouch for it's longevity.
