Something Different - Oil Paints !!!

Here is some of the illustration work that I have been doing lately.
This is from a show at Art Upstairs - a gallery in Kerikeri, New Zealand.
They wanted something different, so they even included a few of my 'low-brow' styled airbrushed pieces.

Anyway here they are, all done in oils. Some of the vibrance in the colours has been lost. The Spitfire is an older piece, as were the skulls (not attached).

Like your use of the medium. I'm diggin' the fact that a lot of artist are posting art that is non-comic related.

Hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll have a few airbrushed pieces to show after the new year too. I have one guaranteed, but might have 4 or 5, including the back of a truck cab!

Plus, I'm finishing a couple of small (150mm x 150mm), mixed media images for another show. Hopefully I'll post them tomorrow.

Good stuff as always, Shane. I love that Spitfire! The colors and the clouds
are perfect. It's really a great piece. We ever do an aviation pulp, I'll know
you to come running to. Ha.

Grimscribe - I actually saw one of your pulps in the back pages of Secret Agent X (very entertaining BTW people) with the planes, and thought that already. Don't have the book here, so can't remember the name.
