Classic comic creators as characters

I'm working on a small project (Treasa Dare in the writer's section), and I've decided to mold the supporting cast on classic comic creators.

The basic premise is a female supernatural stalker in the 1930's. Her information broker and pseudo mentor is Schwartz (based on Julie Schwartz). Once we intro an arms guy he'll probably be based on Kirby. The forger will be based on a classic letterer. The eventual love interest is suppose to be a cat burglar who is suave as hell so Steranko comes right to mind.

What other classic creators might make good characters and what kind of role might they play? Keep in mind I'm looking for ideas to use so don't share anything you don't want possibly showing up at some time.

Thanks for your time.

Not bad. Tuck that into the back of my head.

I'm afraid Stan Lee would have to be more of the huckster or two-faced WiseGuy type character.

Haha. He could always be a pimp!

If you've seen a picture of him from the 70's you understand where I'm coming from.

What about David Lloyd of V for Vendetta fame as a mentor/teacher to your hero? (Though I think you should just call him Lloyd). David also really was a mentor and teacher at the fabulous comic book class that he and others ran in Ladbroke grove in London.

Oh wait perhaps hes not "classic" enough!

Alan Moore as a shaman or magician. (How can you NOT do this if you can fit it in?)

Marv Wolfman as...(can you see it coming?) a wolf-man.

Jim Shooter as Frankenstein's Monster.

Will Eisner as...(can you see it coming?)...a spirit (who inspires other to do well).

Enough for today.

I assume nobody here is familiar with FUNKY FLASHMAN? Sigh. Google Search it and that about explains it all.
