a contact asked me if my work was registered with WGA, that they only take work that is...whats with that?

WGA registration is okay, but a legit request is asking you to have the US copyright. https://eco.copyright.gov/eService_enu/start.swe
I register scripts with WGA...just cause. But I don't see any benefit of registering comics, what is the point? Copyright trumps WGA registering any day.
