I don't think marvel would find "This image or video has been moved or deleted - photobucket" to be overly impressive.

Is this supposed to be batman, or batman inspired? Just screams batman to me because of the outfit.... It just seems so similar, which kinda takes the originality away from it a little.
Maybe if you can explain the image a little more and the character? This isn't being horrible, your painting style is real good... just I'd like to know more about who the character is.... just curious

MDiPascale: I really like the technique, the character looks great. But as all your previous posts you're still fading to a white light. Maybe you should think about trying to develope your use of colored light and reflected light a little more.
Forbiddenwhispers: Black Panther is a marvel character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby who first appeared in Fantastic Four July 1966. The similarity in design in not of MDiPascale's doing. |

No I understand, probably should've added a smiley or something. I wasn't being matter-of-factly about it. Just saying

I think this looks great. The thought of drawing a character that is black from head to toe bores me to death, but you made it interesting. Go you.

Okay. I have always liked this character, especially since hooking up with Storm, but the one thing I have never liked is that dorky cape. But your work is spectacular. Remove the cape and I'll love it even more.

JimmyBott touched on what I immediately thought.
The composition is excellent, though it'd be cool to see some smaller details in the background. The real issue is just that it doesn't really pack a punch. The figure is a little too dark, but more than that, it's just the lack of atmosphere in the rendering of the figure that bothers me. Even in dense dense canopy, the shadows would contain a bit more green content. I think this piece would really shine through if you lightened it up a bit and added an ambient green light source. |
