Comics For A Cause Campaign Book 2008
Hi folks,
Sorry for the quietness around here. It's been a busy months for me at work and trying to get my health better. So far, I'd like to let you know that CFAC campaign book 2008 is planned to come out (hopefully) during the 2008 campaign kick-off in October, in a Comics & Toy Expo here in Calgary, Alberta. I have the previledge to be invited again this year as one of the guests. This gives my an opportunity to kick start the campaign for this year. What I'm concentrating right now is to get the book done before the show. Without getting myself strained again, I'm hoping to accomplish my goal this time.  Here are the titles and creators included in the book: FIST OF JUSTICE - written by Mike Imbodden and art by Gilbert Monsanto DR. CHAMELEON - written and drawn by Lauren Monardo BANANA GANG - written by Mike Exner III and art by Jaime Ozpina MS. M - written by Hal Hilden and art by Christian Meesey CONSTABLE 4 - written by Brian Meredith and art by Dario Carrasco CLOUD BUSTER - written by Dan Beltran and art by Jhonny Ortiz (contributed by Silver Comics) Possible entries in the book: MASK of the GARGOYLE: Rockets Red Glare - written by Ron Fortier and art by TBA LUCIFER FAWKES - written by Brian Meredith and drawn by Dario Carrasco PLUG: We are still looking for sequential artists for the 2009 campaign book and also for anthology books from Panday Studio Imprint. I did NOT get your e-mail?? I have an artist (who will pencil and ink the story) and he has already started. Jaymes Reed at Digital Caps has also signed on to letter it. My artist says he can have it done quickly. We need a deadline from you. Ron |

Back to square one. Dario, just got an e-mail from the artist who said he was going do the story...now saying it is more involved than he thought and he's
backing out. Sorry. I told the dude it was 16 pgs. and he was all up for it. Now, he says, after reading the script, it would take him too long to research the backgrounds etc. Oh well, easy come, easy go.  |

Thanks Mike. So far, we got a lot of responses from the search and I have chosen a couple that can be used and abused right away.
 I was hoping to get the book done for an October show here in Calgary but it's been delayed again. It might carry on towards next year again by the look of it. Phew. Everything is voluntary, so it's go when it's go, I guess.For sure I'll let you know when it's done and out the door.
