If you are going to try and submit to the talent search for Marvel or DC at SDCC they are going to want to see sequential artwork. So start drawing some panels.

That's right... You know what's coming.

Secret is on to something by having you take Sebzero's advice and listen to what Phatman said about doing what Hardinart told you to do.

Good luck at the con!

Don't do any cross company stories. Editors are not generally fond of that (if you ask them, I think they'll cite legal ramifications, although I'm not sure what those are, but you don't want to piss off an editor just because you thought a batman vs. spiderman story would make a cool submission).

If you can, do a DC specific sequential and a Marvel specific sequential.

There are plenty of scripts floating around the internet you can use for samples - I'd recommend either using a pro one from a published book (that you haven't read, so you don't know how the published artist did it), or hit up somebody you know, a writer friend or someone online (ask around the writer's forum here and you might find someone willing to help you out...).

Here's a good resource to get you started: http://comicbookscripts.googlepages.com/

And the pics you've posted so far are looking pretty good. Really like that Spidey one, tho Wolvie looks off some how. There's some "balloony" musculature going on in his legs that's kinda wierd. But overall, pretty cool.

If you are going to submit to Marvel have a Marvel Sample and vise versa for DC. Editors will look at both but there are STRONG RIVALRIES. Go to the TiPs from the drawing board link- there is a MadCoW post for scripts.

I like your perspective and anatomy. I would be interested to see what you could do with one of these characters from the worm's eye view angle.
