Battlestar Galactica Final Season

I'm surprised no one's posted about the returning BSG tonight. Maybe because it's Friday night and everyone has better things to do?

Anyway, I'm glad to see the show return after such a long hiatus, and for me, it continued to deliver.

So Kara is back, but apparently she thinks she's only been gone for hours, not months. And her raptor is brand spanking new with no data. Strange. I don't think she's a Cylon, so how do we explain that?

So is it pretty much a forgone conclusion that Ty, Sam, Chief and the girl (can't remember her name) are definitely 4 of the 5 final Cylons since the last episode of last season? Or does anyone have any alternative theories?

Let the conversations resume...

I dug it. Hope Starbuck isn't a cyclon. That bit where Baltar sleeps with the girl felt tacked on. But yeah, good-ass premier.

My friend had a BSG nerd party last night. I even saw my GF in the back ground

That Ty shit at the begining just freaked me out.
After that cylon "flipped the switch" in Sam there's no boubt about them being cylons.

Now I'm really interested to find out where those four came from... It was an early conclusion that there was no way Tigh could be a cylon because of his age and involvement with the first cylon war.

There's still the old claim from a Leoben that "Adama is a cylon", but then he does lie, and if the final 5 are all secrets, how would Leoben know? Still, it's possible one of the Adamas is a cylon.

I'm kind of hoping that the president is a cylon.

From the preview shots for the season, we can see Lee being sworn in, most likely as president. So it'd be great if there's this poignant moment of Roslin getting sick and dying and Lee being sworn in, and then Roslin wakes up somewhere else.

I do NOT think Kara is a cylon, there was indeed that heavy raider that only she saw in the clouds, so the explosion could have been it, or she could have been rescued by it.

I have this feeling that when they get to earth, it's going to be inhabited.

i dont care who else turns out to be a cylon, as long as its not rosalin or adama. they are the "soul" of the show and if they are bad guys, im gonna feel ripped off.

either way..still love the show.

Peaceful reconciliation has been hinted at throughout the first three seasons.

Morality has been set aside by both sides in numerous episodes - ranging from the interogation "techniques" of the Pegusus under Admiral Cain to the execution of "collaborators" following the occupation of New Caprica.

Yeah, especially with Boomer and Sharon and the good version of Six, not to mention that the most recently revealed four, are all "good guys", I don't think anything is clear as good guy-bad guy.

I have an inkling, though I could be entirely wrong, that this is all an elaborate set-up. The cylon rhetoric that "this has all happened before, and it'll happen again" is true and that the system is just reset over and over like the Matrix until Cylons and Humans learn to unite. That could be entirely wrong, but it's a fun thought.

Did anyone else think for a second Starbuck was getting shot out the airlock? Just for a brief second I was worried.

Previews for next week make it look like things are really about to pick up. Should be interesting.
