Well so far it seems he's taking credit for Dave Finch's work as well as Ed Benes and from the looks of it Cray Nord. If I'm not mistaken that color piece is done by either Randy Green or Khary Randolph or someone in the biz. The Solomon Grundy inks and pencils are Ed Benes. I believe the First pencils you posted were done by Cary Nord, could be wrong but it looks like his stuff. I believe the Deadpool was done by Fellow member Reilley Brown. The MoonKnight stuff was done by Dave Finch.

These look like Cary Nords work. Ask Cary, he's a member here.

That Deadpool piece was colored by DW board member King if I remember right. One of those inked pieces looks like one of the pages Ernestj23 posted a while back.

Thank you both very much for the information concerning the real origin of all those pieces.

I've sent a message to Cary Nord to find out if those pages from my script are indeed his.

After lookin at the colored pinup/cover stuff some more, you can see the areas where he's knocked out the artists' signatures pretty easily.

Makes me reconsider watermarks more and more.

I believe the first ink is by Ernest Jocson, but the second inks I believe is by Tony Kordos.

the girl in the school outfit jumping with the stuffed animal was the back cover of an issue of Banzai Girl by Jinky Coronado.

I'm not sure who did the art though. If I remember correctly it was one of the people behind Hyperwerks who did the Deity comic. a quick search turns up nothing. It may even be Jinky Coronado's artwork. I've emailed her, I'll let you know if I hear anything back.

*edit* confirmed the second image is by Jinky Coronado.

Quote:
YES, I drew that image, about 5 years ago. It is my own character, Banzai Girl, whose name in the comicbook series is my own -- Jinky Coronado. It was colored by Michael Kelleher, who colors my entire series.

It was published by Sirius several years ago as the splash page in BANZAI GIRL #2 and was also released as a 22" x 28" poster. The poster is still sold online in my online store: http://www.glasshousegraphics.com/ba...s%20print.html

I've never heard of anyone named "Josh Hoopes"....

I'm not a beginner artist. I draw the best-selling AVALON HIGH series at TokyoPop and am also currently writing and drawing the latest BANZAI GIRLS story arc, for Arcana.

Thanks for the detective work, guys.

I opened up a claim with Paypal on the off chance that they could obtain a refund for me (I gave him 50% up front). However, they closed the case saying that this kind of thing doesn't fall under their buyer protection policy.

For whatever it's worth, they say that they've marked the accusation of fraud on his account, and will potentially limit his account functions if they receive further complaints. So, if anyone else was dealing with him via Paypal, you may wish to keep that in mind.

Justice41: great job man! I will get in touch with the artist asap!

JoMaC2k: Nice job mate!

Deadfish07: Yea I was the one who tipped him off! I will continue to update LITG as this progresses.

Great great work guys! I knew you guys could find the artists. I contacted Sacramento police (that is where this guy is from) and they said I have to file a report with the local authorities and they forward it to the CA police. So if any of the artist are reading this that is one way to go.
