This has a really cool painted feel to it. reminds me of Alessandro Biffignandi. I would certainly like to see finished star wars drawings in this style. The only thing really wrong with this picture is the cut out look of Bobafet on the background and slightly soft guns. That aside I would say this would be a good finished piece not just a sketch.

Yeah, my wife was bitching at me about not detailing the guns more. And I made some lame excuse. As for the cut-out look, I thought about adding a small shadow to sort of ground him, but I forgot to before posting (another lame excuse).

Gandalf: Slave Leia? Sounds good.

The UK kids war comics had simply awesome painted covers mostly by Italian and Spanish artist, obviously I didn’t know exactly how good they were when I was a kid and I just got this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aarrgghh-Its.../dp/1853756334 The covers are just dynamic energetic stylish fantastic… umm I like them anyway

The original comics didn’t credit any of the creators but the book dose and I’ve enjoyed searching the web for more work by them now I actually know who they are. (can you imagine not getting a credit? Apparently the publishers said it was so the competition didn’t poach the best creators but I think it was more so the publishers could get all right and pay nothing for work that puts some of today’s superstars to shame)
