Unhappy Oh John McCain....why ?

I wasnt supporting him but man, I do ( did ) respect him...this is just sad. First he sucks up to Pat Robertson, and now this.....ugh.

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/02/13/...boarding-fail/

Earlier today, ThinkProgress noted that Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), a former prisoner of war, has spoken strongly in favor of implementing the Army Field Manual standard. When confronted today with the decision of whether to stick with his conscience or cave to the right wing, McCain chose to ditch his principles and instead vote to preserve waterboarding:

Mr. McCain, a former prisoner of war, has consistently voiced opposition to waterboarding and other methods that critics say is a form torture. But the Republicans, confident of a White House veto, did not mount the challenge. Mr. McCain voted “no” on Wednesday afternoon.

He has also mentioned that he wouldn't mind if we stayed in Iraq for a hundred years.

Yeah, he used to be a 'rogue' in his party and that's when he had the crossover support. Now, he's turned into just another party puppet. Sad, really. He's done some great things in his rogue days.

Yeah, now he's shoring up the conservative support so's to not give them all away to Huckabee in the upcoming primaries. He's mathematically going to win the nomination anyways, but the strong conservative suport Huckabee is enjoying could be something serious when it comes to conservative vote in November.

I didn't know he had a conscience or principles? Really folks he's running as a republican don't you think he wants to do something republican so he can still claim to be one?
