They're supposed to be burned. You know? Like a house burned down and the lumber is now charcoal like?

Thanks though.

Too much detail on them is making it look like webbing. You need to break it up a bit, that parttern's too uniform to be charred wood. Spotting some more black on there would help too... or breaking things up a bit with some white areas as well.

I like your figures though... nice fluid lines, cool animated style.

Yeah the boards are a little distracting but overall it looks good. Gambit really works great in your style, sort of reminds me of the mid 90's run with Joe mad.

Yeah I realized that after I posted. I'm just too lazy to go over and spot blacks and rescan and all. Next time maybe. Just a sketch you know? I'm actually surprised people noticed this post, it usually gets buried in this thread.

But thanks for the crits guys.

I always check out the posts, just for your name. I call my wife a Shushubag sometimes. Actually, I'll refer to many things as a shushubag throughout the day. Sometimes I'll say it out loud for no reason at all and I'll get looks while standing at the gas pump.

Very nice sketches!

Agree on the logs. Understand the intent but it kindna distracts from the main picture but again understand that this is sketch!

hey. i really like the gambit peice. the hand throwing the cards is a little hard to see due to the pink energy from the cards and the shadows from the arm. but i only noticed that after staring at this for a few moments. sorry for the really picky cri, but i just wnted o say something other than how much i like your style and this picure.
but i dreally do likr the style and pic.
