What's your opinion on the jellyfish discovery (10,000 year old living jellyfish)?

Thanks, LGM. I'll do what I can. However, I should stipulate that questions concerning the validity of evolution, creation, or inteligent design should be relegated to the members-only forum.

Octopuses and squid are quite closely related, though their most recent common ancestor was probably way back in the Mesozoic or even earlier. The cephalopod molluscs were previously much more diverse, but only the octopi, squids, cuttlefishes, and nautili survive today.

I don't know anything about this 10,000 year old jellyfish you mention; please provide a link.
