My submission to the POW #01 challenge - WIP

a week ago ConceptArt.org forum started this weekly comic challenge called P.O.W. (as in "panels of the week"), where we are supposed to write and draw 3-4 pages a week.

I have wanted to draw comics for a long time now. But always the motivation left me before i could get anything finished. So i thought that this challenge thingy might be what i need, to finally get something done!

anyway, heres the sketch/layout for my entry to the challenge. The topic was "getting even".
I'll post more finished pages as soon as i get them done.. Oh, and all help is appreciated

and yeah, i know, im not much of a writer

Dude! As I was looking at the layouts I was like "meh... okay", then I saw the polished version and I'm like "DAMN!" I thought of Call of Cthulhu right away, and don't ask me why.

Anyway, there's a bit of wonkiness on the first panel with the perspective on the two tables next to the bed.

Yeah, I gotta agree. That is a fantastic display of skill and story telling.

very cool coloring/digital painting job..Im just having a bit of trouible with the general proportions of everything in that finished page...looks wonky and cartoony in a negative way..but that may be what you were hoping for...cant wait to see more

cs3ink - don't hate me yet, i have now only drawn like 9 pages of comics in my whole life. Hate me after i have drawn 30 pages!
OZ! - thats funny
TenGuKu - yeah, i know, my perspective skills suck. I was planning on fixing all those problems in the polishing stage, but my story was so bad that in the end all my enthusiasm left me. And i couldn't force myself to finish the pages anymore.

I promise my next entry to the POW challenge will kick ass!

Inspiring work...I'd drop the shadow balloons though. They're wee bit distracting. Nice job. Jim
