last minute xmas shopping storys

so only have 3 peeps on list..daughter,son , girl friend..go to old Wheaton plaza now a mall...get a few items...then lights flashing...check out clerk says oh no...fire...I said are they going to shut down the mall..he said yes..never noticed those lights all on the sides of the mall...flashing and strange long sireron sound.

go home ..look on computer for old downtown stores..in Silver Spring, maryland..where I live...notice a link to wikipedia..hit link...read..I knew some of the history of our town..but the song Silver Springs by Fleetwood Mac was writen from our springs...oh xmas...a never ending journey...

You made it out of Wheaton alive? I was just there Friday picking up some last minute stocking stuffers, and it took me 1/2 hour to even park. The last minute shopping wouldn't have been as bad if it weren't for all the little kids in the malls holding back the foot traffic. Really, should the little ones be out and about choosing their own gifts? What happened to parents at least making SOME attempt to have their kids believe in Santa Claus and surprising them Christmas morning?!

Some also believe that REM's "Dont Go Back to Rockville" was about out little bourgeois Rockville here too.

I had to go get a last minute gift, and the parking situation was crazy! People were almost getting run over because so many people were parking in the fire lanes!

What I don't understand is, why do so many people have to park in front, when there are still a few parking spaces farther away (which is where I parked)?

we wnet to gaint food store last night @ 6 pm and well all check out lines were 15 peeps...left went to 7-11 ben and jerrys/ scratch off tiicket/ frozen pizza(Dejournos) good pizza, xcellent ice cread and loser scratch off...
