The joys of Facebook...

To save face, the names of the sender and the people mentioned in the following message have been omitted:

Seriously, what the fuck? I must have rejected your friend request 3 times. I never much liked you when we were at school and I still think you're a prick now. The fact that you still think we're friends after you pulled my cousin (whose fiance was there!) at my wedding reception shows how ignoranta dick you are.

Fuck off
I never thought a Social Networking tool could get people so riled up. What's the statute of limitations on a grudge these days anyway?

With all due respect... use your head man... or at least use some social tact.

Heh!

It reads worse than it actually was. It wasn't like I was dry-humping her or giving her hickeys.

And besides, she asked me to dance.

"Why?" indeed.

The irony of all this is that the "friend" in question spent a year married to his wife, knocked her up and then left her to resume his old (re: promiscuous) ways before the baby was born.

Hypocrite, much?

But I can't seem to recall what I might have done to any of my old mates (who were my best friends growing up) that means they keep rejecting my friend requests!

Also, I also seem to be losing people from my friends lists. It seems like people are adding me and then thinking "Actually, he was a bit of a wanker".

I always thought of myself as being quite amiable when I was a kid.

It took several ex-girlfriends, incessant post-adolescent mothering and a whole lot of alcohol to turn me into the insouciant, toxic viper that I am today.

It's probably best to just move on. If the guy can't let it go, and you think you've grown enough as a human to not do the sort of thing that got him pissed to begin with, move on. Let the guy roll it over in his own head as often as he wants to - that's his choice, obviously.

If you wouldn't do it again, then you're cool and your ex-pal is just hurting himself by continuing to relive the incident. If you would do it again, maybe you should hear the guy out and learn something from the whole experience. Hope this helps.

I can't figure out how to use facebook or comicspace.

I've had them both almost a year.

But enough of my problems.

Sounds like a nice wedding.

Wasn't it you who also had an ex that deleted you from her myspace and all your messages even though you broke up on mutual terms?
Dunno man, people are wierd, there are people on my list who're kinda cvntish and I've fallen out with them many times, it's too much effort to get at them using a social networking site.

This one time when I was very drunk I asked a mate if his sister would mind collaborating on some songs and stuff.

Him: and stuff?

Me: Well my bass playing kinda sucks. Oh wait..you think I mean....nah, although I would sleep with your sister, she's hot.

Him (with a priceless look on his face):.........

Me: I mean like....in a....mutual friend sorta way? Yeah, don't worry, I'd never hurt her, you can watch if you want.

Him:............

Me: I mean.......I......would you like a drink?

Suprisingly I'm still on this guys friends list.

When you hate someone, you hate someone, that never changes.

I had one buddy who had a bunch of guys we beat up in their friends list. They ended up putting it behind them, so it is possible. Just not with everyone, including me.
